The Tar Heel Chapter’s Professional Development Seminar is all about finding ways to be better connected to your audience, to the media, to your career. We have speakers from a wide variety of backgrounds that will provide you with the valuable information you need to be better connected in today’s technology-driven world.
Our keynote speaker is Jennifer Curtis, Director of Communications with the World Pediatric Project in Richmond, Va. Jennifer will provide insights on “How to leverage local partnerships to gain national attention.”
Another outstanding speaker is Mike Foley, a filmmaker, writer and painter who will talk about how many companies are connecting to their audiences through video.
Kim Williams will talk about how to better connect using your smartphones, Apple products and other gadgets and Robert T. Youngblood will share his thoughts on how to better connect to professional networks through LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
In addition to a stellar lineup of speakers, there will also be a media panel discussion featuring FOX 8 News Anchor Neill McNeill, News 14 Carolina Assignment Editor Robin Lambert and J.R. Snider, morning on-air host at WSJS radio in Winston-Salem. Early discounted registration ends on September 14.
